I am Kat and have lived in the Heart of the Appalachian Mountains for 10+ yrs. I love the people, the accent, the mountains, the culture, the beauty & the abundant wildlife here. This photo blog is my view of life. Much of my day is spent at the level of doorknobs, as I am disabled & use a power wheelchair. As you can imagine, most photos are from this perspective, though some are taken from a vehicle. I hope you enjoy my photos. PLEASE comment to let me know you've been here!

Post-Thanksgiving glow
Twix and I retreat to my desk corner of the bedroom. I love it there because to my immediate left is a window and straight ahead is another. He loves to sit with me while I work on photo editing on my computer. I have so many to post!.
Black and White
I'm frustrated because I wrote a long post about memories surrounding my dad developing his black and white photos, and then my own past of doing the same. I'm out of steam now, so ill just share a couple and tell you more is on its way!
