I'm back! Let's Try This Again.....

I'm sorry that I've not been here. I have been very active in Instagram and  you can see my photos there at Arty_Kat on Instagram. But of course, those are small photos and not all of the ones that I want to share.

This is a large two story brick house and there are many cats that live there. Usually you'd see them outside but not lately, as someone poisoned many of them. Breaks my heart.  So, I imagine this one feels imprisoned, much as I have often felt myself.

This is a cosmos from my own garden. They are my favorite garden flower and I'm thrilled that they came back. Last year I had white, pink like this, and dark pink, like the background.

Bear and Bella, relaxing. Bear loves his tablet!

A most unusual friendship! I spotted the deer and took many photos. Then, it walked closer to me, and this cat came out from behind the building on the left. Clearly, the way they acknowledged one another, they are quite well acquainted. Later, the deer crossed the road, and the cat followed her!

These are my neighbor's dogs, and they are so very photogenic! The left is a female, and the right is a male. He is a full blooded boxer, and normally his ears are down but I caught him mid-air! One of my favorite photos.

 Best Friends for Life

I am starting a business that focuses on my photography and art. I have already ordered some postcards that are just gorgeous, printed by Moo.com. Postcards are a good way to let others know you are thinking of them without involving the extra fast and easy electronic contacts. It means so much more to get something in the mail, I think. Do you? Or should I forget about it... or make greeting cards instead? I welcome your input and suggestions!

Take care, friends, and let me know you are out there. Comments are like gold to me, and they let me know I'm not talking to myself. :)

Springtime hits Our Appalachian Mountains

Below are a few recent photos I took. The first is of a courting pair of robins- the male is brighter than the female on the left. They were in an apple tree.

A deer I saw quite a long way away... I always see at least one every time I go out for a ride in my chair through our rural area.

My little friend...a tufted titmouse who visits my feeders outside my windows every day, many times a day.  His cry is "Peter-Peter-Peter!" And he is one of my favorite birds.

Lens Flare and Abstracts

I love this lens flare photo taken near my home. Silhouettes ad leafless trees are my favorite. Guess that's why I started this group on Instagram:

Here are some abstracts I created, using a stained glass lamp as my base then distorting it. This area of art is new to me.

What do you think?
