No Hunting Allowed

This was taken through my window screen and across our deep backyard to under our a craggy old apple tree (see red dot). There was a NINE POINT Buck standing at the corner of our property, munching fallen apples! He was magnificent! I got some shots on m7 Canon as that are far better and I'll be sharing here later. This was taken with my iPhone 4S.

"Is He Okay?"

My daughter @crazedsage thought she saw our neighbor's cat, Jimmie Johnson, get hit by a car but he was just fine. Whew!. We have been taking near-daily walks together - well, she does the walking and I ride in my motorized wheelchair- and enjoy the beauty all around us here in the mountains. It is a regular occurance for me to see deer, and often it is more than one in more than one place along the walk.

One of my favorite photos of my Bear

He's holding our Shih Tzu, Meesie ( formerly known as Mimi), who he rescued from the animal shelter last year.

This was a candid photo, which are my favorite kind of people shots.

A beautiful friend who believes she has an ugly smile I was taking photos of her four children and caught her smiling. When I showed this to her, she couldn't deny that she does, indeed, have a wonderful smile.

Noni's Moon

When my youngest was three, I had a baby who only lived 30 days. His name was Noah. Ever since then, a fingernail moon has been called Noni's Moon. HIs little sister said "Noah" but it came out "No-nee." When Noah was born and thirty days later he died, the moon looked like this- from that point on, my older daughter and I called it a Noni's Moon. He would be 22 years old in October of this year, and we still remember his moon.

The raspberry bush

... is starting to show growth after deer chewed on it during the winter! We lost the blackberry, but maybe the raspberry will make it.
